I waned some advice on purchasing a Patio set. I know they are expensive and I wanted to get someth
I had a couple of questions.
1. I like the rod iron look. Is rod iron the most durable. It appears to be something that as long as you paint and keep clean it will last forever, very durable. Is this true.
2. What are the advantages/disadvantages of the different type of materials used in the Patio sets.
3. What about those patio sets you see in Home Depot, Wal-Mart.
I got mine at walmart really nice and cheap $80.00 Ive had it for 2 years.. See More
Where in the heck can you buy plastic patio furniture?
I have looked everywhere..I just want the cheap, plastic patio sets with the tables (w/removable legs) & chairs... I have looked everywhere - Target, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc. & I can't find them on any of their websites. Do you think if I go into the stores I might find them? Help! Having housewarming BBQ in June & I have nowhere for people to sit outside.
BTW...is it rude to ask guests to take of their shoes when they come in my house? LOL.
They are available at all the stores you mentioned. Go to any one of those stores and you will find them. See More

does anyone know where I can find a new 5pc rose motif outdoor dining set in white bisro style?
The dining set was sold from Ginnys circle catalog, but they are no longer availabl. It is light weight resin that looks like the cast aluminum versions, but it isn't. It has roses all over the back of the chairs that are 34.5" high and the taable is 32" in diameter and 27" high. Ineed this setr to complete my entire set. There are other sets that come in a 3pc set of which I already have sold by different venders. Please help!

Does a slab of red gum wood crack, & if so--how can I stop it from cracking?
Hi,
I have a number of red gum slabs. Some of the slabs are from "green" redgum wood (so its still got some moisture content inside i guess), and the other slabs are from dead fallen redgum trees (probably been dead and fallen for at least a few years.
I'm hoping to use the slabs to make a dining table set, but I'm concerned that perhaps they need to be "cured" or something first before I can use them.
My question are:
1. Do they crack?
2. If they can crack, how bad?
3. Is there a way you can cure them at home, rather than send them off to a commercial mill?
4. If you completely seal in the wood with a stain, or Danish oil, or varnish, or something else, will it stop the wood from cracking -- even if it is "green"?
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help - 10 points for you!
David

Big drop in times coming?
I ran an 18:03 for a 5k at sectionals last season. However, I was having a really good season and wound up straining my calf before sectionals. During outdoor track, I ran a 4:58 mile. to me, 1:803 5k does not match up with a 4:58 mile. I picked up the training to get to that point and have picked it up more this summer to hopefully run sub 17:10 in XC for the 5k...does this seem possible? Ive dropped at least 40 seconds each year I have done XC...
As a coach, I would say that the 4:58 is better than the 18:03, but not dramatically better. You're success in improving your mile time ... See More
